What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a distinct healthcare discipline. It is based on the scientific fact that a healthy nervous system, particularly the spine, is the key to healthy, pain free body.
Normal everyday activities and injuries can cause spinal bones to go out of position, which can result in nerve irritation, nerve pressure and subsequently pain.
Doctors of Chiropractic focus on the spine and painlessly adjust the "spinal bones" without surgery, in order to correctly reposition them.
Chiropractic also deals with other non-spinal problems such as knee, ankle, elbow and shoulder conditions.

How much education do Chiropractic Doctors have?
In USA, Doctors of Chiropractic must complete a three years pre-medical degree at University before studying another 5 years (4500 hrs) for a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.

Is Chiropractic Treatment safe?
It is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints.

How long will it take for results?
Every case is different. Response time will very between individuals. The doctor can advise you after the initial examination.

How is a Chiropractic adjustment performed?
The doctor uses his/her hands or special instruments to manipulate the joints, particularly the spine. This procedure utilizes the highly refined skills developed during their intensive years of medical school.

Will it hurt?
Most partients do not feel any discomfort during their treatments.

Are there circumstances when Chiropractic care is not appropriate?
Thoughout their extensive training, Chiropractic doctors are taught to recognize any conditions that do not fall within their scope of practice, and therefore will refer the patients to the appropriate healthcare professional.

What to expect on your first visit?

1. Consultation:
A detailed history is taken, to determine if you are a suitable candidate for Chiropractic care.

2. Examination:
Postural observation range of motion, neurological and orthopedic tests are performed to assess status of joint and muscle health as well as nerve function. If X-rays or special tests are required, they will be advised accordingly.

3. Report of Findings:
After detailed analysis, the doctor will give you a diagnosis and a recommended treatments plan.

4. Treatment:
Chiropractic adjustments are the primary treatment. If indicated then secondary treatments will be used. These may include the following modalities:

- Cerical Traction
- Lumbar Traction
- Ultrasound
- Interferential Current
- Hot or Cold therapy
- Stretching and Exercises
- Laser Therapy
